Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery, a member of the Prax Group of companies, located in Northern Lincolnshire in the United Kingdom, has achieved the significant safety milestone of 500 days without a recordable accident at the site earlier this month. This equates to over two million safe working hours on the site, involving 118 companies working alongside the Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery team.
Luc Smets, General Manager at Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery, said: “Safety is the number one priority for the refinery – it has to be. The 500-day milestone is a major achievement for the site and I would like to take this opportunity to thank and recognise all Prax employees and contractors supporting the refinery in their contribution to safe working and achieving this milestone. The refining sector is extremely high risk, considering some of the work activities that are undertaken on site. This is a fantastic and exceptional achievement, and confirms our non-negotiable commitment to safety.”
